I'm a women's mental health advisor, a writer, and the founder of The Intentional Life. I've spent over a decade in conversation with women about the patterns they run, the scripts they inherit, and the creative, intentional lives they want to build. This site is where that work lives, for the woman who's done processing alone.
A private community for women doing this work in good company. Weekly posts, monthly workshops.
Five Permission Slips, five things you are allowed to stop waiting for.
Which Part of Your Life Is Quietly Asking for Attention? 2 minutes. 5 pillars. One clear next step.
I grew up a Midwest girl in Northwest Ohio, a museum-perfect house on the outside and a lonely one on the inside. In middle school, the school counselor was the first person who really listened. It was foreign to me. And by the time I graduated 8th grade, I knew I wanted to be a listener, so other women could heal.
My early work was around the special-needs community — auti, programs, family-centered intervention. I loved the kids. But what I couldn't stop noticing was the moms in the waiting room: every support imaginable for the kids, and nothing on her own calendar. When mom isn't well, the kid isn't well. That's the moment I chose women.
I'm a wife, a mom of two young kids, and a bonus mom to two more, a blended family that includes co-parenting from 2,000 miles away. So when I talk about the complexity of Connection, it's not a hypothetical. And yes, that's Brutus the French Bulldog, named after the Ohio State Buckeyes mascot, parked next to me at all times.
My backyard pool, an iced coffee, and a book I'll actually finish. That's my favorite spot. Disneyland is a close second, color and whimsy are non-negotiable for me too. Phoenix in summer is hot and bright and full of light, and I'm grateful for all of it.
